“Titmouse was born at the end of the 20th century, a time of great technological change that would affect the sound of all music made thereafter. Growing up in this era of electronic music solidified to her the concept of the individual as the band, and the computer as both the instrument and the environment within which music was made. This unique perspective allowed her to chart her own path musically, producing full albums with nothing but a computer starting at age 13. The data she manipulated to make this music started with fragments and decontextualized loops of music she loved, and eventually progressed past short sound bites and synths to field recordings of her own design. She now uses an eclectic mix of these elements to forge her own path musically, releasing various projects of different types over the years. “LAN Party Dreams” combines these techniques of sampling, synthesis, and field recording into one cohesive project meant to show everything she learned in her years studying music production at Ramapo college.”
